About
Jun Lei is a Chinese international student who focuses on general theater training at the University of Regina. As a general theatre student, his training focuses on text analysis, vocal and movement practice, theater history, and performance rehearsal.
Apart from theater, Jun also took some dance training for two years and has some experience in martial arts. Jun has participated in some cultural events in Winnipeg and Regina. He feels proud to present different cultural things to the audience. He has officially performed for royal Winnipeg ballet academy and the School of Contemporary Dancers in Winnipeg and has cast one role for a production play at the University of Regina.
Jun likes to explore history and current social issues; he cares about identity, ancestry, minority, and environmental protection. He thinks the theater is like a mirror that can reflect the past, the present, and many things that people do not pay attention to. Jun believes the audience can learn something much more important from theater than books.
Jun's purpose is to build a more inclusive and diversified theater, promote audience awareness, and continuously present creative and meaningful artwork to contemporary audiences.
